About Me

I am a pediatric and fetal cardiologist at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital with more than 30 years of experience caring for children with a wide range of cardiac concerns. My expertise includes fetal cardiology, where I specialize in diagnosing and managing heart conditions before birth.

I earned my medical degree from Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in 1984 followed by a pediatric residency at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 1993. I then completed a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Emory University School of Medicine.

Since 1996, I have been dedicated to caring for children and adolescents in the South Florida community. In 2015, I became co-medical director of the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital’s Fetal Program, where our team provides innovative and lifesaving care for preterm infants with complex cardiac conditions.
